Our Staff

ElderWatch Plus Adult Day Services was founded in 1996 as a non-profit agency. Today we are the only free standing non-profit adult day program in the Philadelphia area. Under the executive directorship of Judi Ahram and with the efforts of a caring, passionate, and professional staff, ElderWatch Plus provides a safe and nurturing environment for people with physical and cognitive disability. Ms. Ahram, the program founder, is a registered physical therapist with thirty five years experience, a certified dementia care trainer, and a board member of the Pennsylvania Adult Day Services Association. The Center staff include a: Nurse, Activity Coordinator, Care Facilitator, and Program Assistants, all of whom are also trained for dementia care. We take pride in maintaining a high staff to participant ratio to individualized and excellent care. In 2007 the Delaware Valley Alzheimer's Association recognized ElderWatch's Program Assistants with its annual award of excellence. ElderWatch serves as a teaching site for schools of occupational therapy of Temple University and Philadelphia University and works with area schools and employment groups as mentors.

Our Center

We have a 5,600 square foot store front site that is licensed for 49 participants. The Center has multiple activity spaces where our groups join in a variety of activities through out the day. The Sun Room is designed especially for our participants with advanced dementia. This homey space is filled with familiar objects and sensory activities. The secured front porch is wonderful for horseshoes and bocce, card games, and box gardening, but best of all we love people watching. There are several partitioned areas for small and large group discussions, gross motor activities, crafts and games. Our fully equipped kitchen is used for food service and cooking activities.
